Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today.
*Important decisions :*
1.The Cabinet has decided to provide 2% Reservation in State Civil Services for sportspersons after considering objections received after publishing the notifications regarding “Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment),(Amendment) Rules,2024”.
2.Administrative approval has been given to the revised Estimate of Rs.142.47 crores for construction of 450 bedded hospital building in the premises of Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences,Hassan.
3.Administrative approval has been given to the establishment of “Kalyana Karnataka Human Genome Study Institute” in the premises of Raichur University at a cost of Rs.47.32 crores using KKRDB funds.
4.Approval given to development of learning components in 104 Karnataka Public Schools (KPS) of 93 Aspirational taluks for the year 2023-24 at a total cost of Rs.60.00 crores.
5.Administrative approval has been given to the construction of flyover to connect Sri M.Visvesvaraya Railway Terminal at Baiyyappanahalli at an estimated cost of Rs.263.00 crores.
6.Administrative approval for the DPR of tank filling scheme to fill 20 tanks in Uchagaon and Santibastavad Hoblis of Belagavi Taluk of Belagavi District at an estimated cost of Rs.287.55 crores and administrative approval for the DPR of tank filling scheme to fill 61 tanks in Hirebagewadi in Belagavi District at an estimated cost of Rs.519.10 crores has been given.
7.Administrative approval has been given for the DPR of of Bridge cum Barrage across construction Tungabhadra River near Chikkamanchali Village, Raichur Taluk,Raichur District at an estimated cost of Rs.158.10 crores.
8.Administrative approval has been given for the Revised Estimate of Rs.499.00 crores to complete construction of new Medical College,Boys and Girls Hostel,Teaching and Non- Teaching Staff Quarters in the premises of Haveri Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) at Haveri .
9.Upgradation of 6 Government I.T.I.s at a total cost of Rs.100.00 crores i.e.upgradation of 3 Government I.T.I.s in 3 Aspirational Taluks (Raichur,Bellary and Vijayapura) at a cost of Rs.52.81 and 3 Non-Aspirational crores Road),Taluks [Bengaluru (Hosur Kalaburagi and Mysuru] at a cost of Rs.47.18 crores has been approved by the cabinet.
10.Post-facto approval has been given for the G.O. issued on 12.01.2024, giving approval to the Action Plan of Rs.1200.00 crores to take up infrastructural development works in the jurisdiction of BBMP.
11.Administrative approval has been given for construction of Mother And Child Hospital building, new mortuary building, new model kitchen, laundry buildings in the premises of K.C.General Hospital and upgradation of S.T.P. at an estimated cost of Rs.150 crores.
12.Administrative approval has been given to the Revised Estimate of Rs.455.00 crores for the building works of Medical College Building, Boys and Girls Hostel, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Hostels of Chikkamagaluru Institute of Medical Sciences.
13.Administrative approval has been given for the work of providing water supply facilities by BWSSB to newly added/missing bit areas of 110 villages coming under BBMP limits at the cost of 208.45 crores in 2nd phase.
14.Post facto approval has been given in connection with Government order dated 20-01-2024 issued with regard to waiver of interest of Rs.440.20 crores on medium-term,long-term agricultural and agriculture-related loans due by 31-12-2023 on payment of principal by farmers through cooperative societies of the state.
