The Nelamangala police have registered a case of POCSO and rape and outraging modesty against a man for sexually assaulting a girl for the last six years .
The accused identified as Shivakumar Hosalli,25,from Bidar met the girl and her family in Udupi during a program organized by Vishwa HIndu Parishad in 2018.
The accused who worked in a private firm in chickpet in city later met the girl while she was alone at home and sexually assaulted her .
The accused reportedly recorded the act in his mobile phone and started blackmailing her seeking sexual favour and even extorted several thousands from her.
When the victim started avoiding him due to increasing demands,the accused shared the private videos with her family members .
On January the accused called her demanding sexual favour again while her parents were away from home.
Scared by his behavior the victim shared her ordeal with her and later approached the police seeking action against and based on the statement the accused has been arrested and further investigation is on.
