The Subramanyapura police filed a 600 pages charge sheet in a murder case of KS Prathima,45,Deputy Director in the Mines and Geology before the second Additional chief metropolitan Magistrate .
The accused Kiran,worked as driver and terminated due to his rash and negligent behaviour,committed the murder in vengence,the charge-sheet stated adding that it was a planned murder and the accused was hiding in the terrace of the residential apartment situated in Doddakallasandra on the night of November 3 waiting for Prathima to come home.
The charge sheet containing the digital evidence and statement of Prathima’s collegaues,family and neighbours stated that the accused was angered with Pratihma for not taking him back to work despite repeated request.
The accused as per the plan,confronted her as she was opening the door on the fateful night and requested her to take back,As soon as she refused the accused strangled her with the veil and dragged her into the house and stabbed her neck using the kitchen knife .
The accused later ransacked the house and took away valuables worth Rs.5 lakh from the house .
The murder came to light when Prathima’s brother Pratheesh had called her on Saturday night,but the call was not answered.
In the morning when the call again was not answered, he came to the flat and discovered that she had been murdered .
The Police swung into action and zeroed in on Kiran based on digital evidence and found his mobile phone was switched off .
The police later tracked him down to MM hills in Chamrajanagar where he had taken shelter.
