In a twist to a murder case of a 40-year-old woman,the KR Puram police arrested the husband after they discovered finger prints on the iron rod used to bludgeoned the woman to death.
The police initially arrested the son of the deceased , who confessed that he killed his mother after she refused to serve him breakfast.
However the police began to suspect something fishy with the detailed statement of the accused and later discovered the finger prints of the husband,before he was arrested after detailed questioning.
Senior officer told reporters the accused Chandrappa,45,a farmer by profession from Mulabagilu was unhappy with wife Nethra,who worked in private firm.
Chandrappa told the police that she would go out of the house for days and not taking care of the family.He also accused of her of addicted to alcoholism and frequent fight with husband and son.
Chandrappa decided to eliminate her and convinced his son aged 17 years and pursuing his diploma course.
Chandrappa told the son that since he is juvenile he had to face minimum punishment and assured him to take care of education and other facilities after he is out.
As per the plan,the duo attacked Nethra with iron rod bludgeoning her to death at the house in Justice Bhimaiah layout in KR Puram in the early hours of February 2.
The accused later left to his native and told his son to surrender before the police with a concocted story of killing her in fit of rage after she refused to serve him food and humiliated him.
