Narendra Modi will become the prime minister for the third time and during that time the central government will be lredsurideoyo include the hike in reservation for the Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes to the ninth schedule of the Constitution, said former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking at the Valmiki Jathra Mahotsav at Rajanahalli in Harihar taluk of Davangere district on Friday, he said a big agitation had been done to include the Nayak community to the ST category.
When Ramakrishna Hegde was the Chief Minister,he had recommended to the Central Government in this regard and the then Union Government led by Prime Minister Chandrashekar issued a notification.
The subsequent Prime Minister,H.D.Deve Gowda had tried to include to the ST category.There had been a hike in reservation after 35 years of the inclusion of the community to the ST group.
The population of the community has increased so as their aspirations.There was provision to make the suitable amendments to the Constitution to keep it alive unlike the constitutions of the other nations that have lost its presence.
Time has come to show the commitment to make the social changes time to time and respond to the needs of the society.
The agitation by the seer of the Valmiki community became the inspiration for him to hike the quota for the community from three per cent to seven per cent.
Some people warned that he was taking the risk of effecting the hike in reservation for the SC/ST but he went ahead without bothering about its consequences.
He had made up his mind to treat those two communities with sweets and that’s how the reservation was hiked.
A gazette notification had been issued by the previous BJP government and also recommended to the union government.
Since Modi would become the PM for the third consecutive time all efforts would be made to include the hike in reservation to the ninth schedule of the Constitution.
He said hike in quota haf provided 3500 additional seats in engineering and 400 seats in medical courses for the ST community students, apart from the promotion opportunities in various departments.
The incumbent government must implement the orders passed by the previous BJP government and the Valmiki swer must get the work done from the government.
People’s aspiration was final in democracy and he worked to their aspirations.The hike in yfoenthe SC, ST and the backward classes would help those communities people in the coming days.
What was the use of leader if he fails to protect the interest of people?
They might have born in some other community but they must work to provide justice the oppressed classes.

There are 123 Ramayanas but the Valmiki Ramayana is considered the best.The sage had given shelter to Sita when she gave birth to twins, Luv and Kush during the second time of Vanavas.
So,the Valmiki Ramayana is the best and it figured in the top ten religious books of the world.The people belonging to this community must not fall behind in gaining knowledge.
Other great personalities of the community included Ekalavya, Bedara Kannappa,Madakari Nayaka and the Nayak of Surpur.
Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly R.Ashok,.former minister Raju Gouda, Sri Prasannandapuri of the Valmiki peeta and Sri Vachanananda swamiji of the Panchamasali Peera were present.
