Upparpet Police book nine BJP workers among BJP State general secretary for alleged cruelty to cows

The Upparpet police have booked BJP state General secretary among nine members under Cruelty to Animals Act for roped in cows and subjected them for torture during a protest against the BBMP at Freedom park on Tuesday.

Based on the report filed by Police Sub Inspector,who was deployed for security duty,the Upparpet police charged Rajiv P,State General Secretary,Patil Nadahalli A S,State Raita Morcha President,Harish,President,BJP Bengaluru North District,Sapthagiri Gowda,President, BJP Bengaluru,Central District and five others .

The accused staged a protest against BBMP for cutting grants for the dairy farming and brought six cows and subjected them to harassment for over four hours.

The cows were not given fodder or water and made to stand without any shade.In addition to harassing them with blaring sounds of loud speakers .

The protesters tried to push the cows into the BMTC buses when the police were detaining the protesters to trouble the police said a senior officer.
