he kalasipalya police have stepped up investigation to crack the mysterious case of two cash boxes found abandoned in front of an ATM on Tuesday.
Senior officer told reporters the police found the boxes in front of the ATM and called the Kotak Mahindra Bank but they refused stating the boxes do not belong to them.
Confused police checked the CCTV footage from in and around to find that a rag picker had dumped the boxes and walked away.
Further verification found that he had even tried to sell the boxes to a nearby gujri shop but they refused to take it.
The police are now trying to find out the sources of the boxes and approached the manufacturer through the address found on the box to ascertain further details.
The Kalasipalya police have registered an FIR in this regard and checked the records to find out if there was any complaint regarding the missing cash boxes.
