Former Deputy Chief Electrical Inspector convicted in corruption case by session special court and sentenced to three years imprisonment and fine of Rs.1.5 lakh

The 23rd City civil and session special court on Wednesday convicted deputy Chief Electrical inspector in a prevention of corruption case and sentenced to under go three years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 1.5 lakh .

The convict,Sadananda.K.V,the then Deputy Chief Electrical Inspector, Electrical Inspectorate, Bengaluru South, Bengaluru had demanded a bribe amount of Rs. 25,000 from Dayanand.R.B to approve the drawing for the installation of electricity supply to the house situated in Konena Agrahara,Bengaluru in November 2016 .

Based on a complaint,a team of Lokayukta trapped Sadananda red handed and Chargesheet was filed under the PC act.

The court after eight years of trail held him guilty and convicted him.The court also directed him with 2 more months of simple imprisonment if he default the payment of fine .

Earlier in February 20,the 23rd Additional City Civil and session,special court convicted,H.Murthy,Bill collector (Contract Basis),Sonnapannahalli Grama Panchayath, Bengaluru North Taluk,Bengaluru and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 3 years and fine of 1 lakh .

Murthy had demanded a bribe amount of Rs.6,000 from a complainant for transfer of Khata in November 2017 .

The Lokayukta officials based on a complaint laid a trap and arrested Murthy red handed under PC Act.After completion of investigation the officials filed a Charge sheet before the court .
