Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that R.Druvanarayan was a model leader and his popularity is increasing even after his death.
The Chief Minister, who arrived in Chamarajanagar for the memorial service of late R.Dhruvanarayan, proceeded to Heggavadi and paid his obeisance at the grave of Dhruvanarayan.Later,he arrived at the stage programme,paid floral tributes and addressed the gathering.
Dhruvanarayan,who had been constantly striving for the development of the constituency and the progress of Chamarajanagar district.
Not a day went by without him meeting the people.He said that he is a model personality for populist politics.
A Congress ideologue and an asset to the Congress party,Druvanarayan rose from his student Congress days to become the party’s working president.
He worked continuously for the development of the constituency as MLA and MP.Therefore,his passing away is an irrepairable loss not only to the Congress party but also to the state, he said.
Known to be a Ajatashathru,Dhruvanarayan’s son MLA Darshan Dhruvanarayan too has his father’s personality and has also developed popularity.The CM said that he would extend him full cooperation and support.
Ideological clarity and commitment are essential for a politician.Dhruvanarayan had both.He was working to eradicate the inequality of the society,empowering the weak economically and socially.
Dhruvanarayan had great faith and respect for Ambedkar’s constitution.Now there are efforts to change this constitution.The CM warned that we will survive only if the constitution survives.
Social Welfare Minister,HC Mahadevappa,Animal Husbandry Minister,K.Venkatesh,MLA Darshan Dhruvanarayan,Anil Chik Madu,Ravi Shankar,former MLA,Yathindra Siddaramaiah and legislators,leaders of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar were present.
