The Chandra Layout police on Thursday arrested a Police Sub Inspector for blackmailing female colleague with private pictures and assaulted her after she tried to avoid him for his rude behavior .
Senior officer told reporters the accused Sanjay Kumar working with Karnataka State Industrial Security Force befriended the victim and even borrowed money on the pretext of attending competitive exam.
The accused later proposed to marry become closed and even recorded pictures and private videos .
Using them he started blackmailing the victim demanding more money after the victim realized that the accused was addicted to online gambling and alcoholism.
Enraged by this the accused started threatening her to end his life and later blackmailed her with the private photos and videos.The accused even barged into the house and assaulted her .
Unable to bear the torture the victim filed a complaint based on which the accused was arrested under assault,blackmail and even under criminal intimidation and remanded him to judicial custody, a senior officer, said .
