The Hebbagodi police have arrested a couple for allegedly tortured 5 year old girl for intruding their privacy .
The accused Manjunath,working in a private firm was married to Manjula,after she was separated from her husband.
Manjula,35,had two children one boy who was tortured and harassed in the same way but rescued by residents and neighbours three months ago .
The accused Manjunath used to come home drunk and beat up the baby for disturbing his privacy.
The accused had assaulted the baby with mobile charger wire following which the baby cried promoting the neighbors to come to her rescue.
Based on the complaint the police rushed to the spot rescued the baby and arrested the couple.
Primilinary probe revealed that the baby had burnt marks, and old injuries all over her body indicating that she had been tortured many times .
The couple have been arrested and police awaiting for CWC report after counseling the girl to further investigation.
The victim is presently under the care of the CWC.
