FIR against BJP leaders Shobha Karandlaje,Tejasvi Surya,PC Mohan and 44 others for protesting without permission

The Halasurgate police have registered an FIR against Bengaluru central and south MPs along with Shobha Karandlaje and 44 others for protesting without permission to demand the arrest of accused who attacked shop keeper Mukesh on March 17.

Based on the complaint filed by Inspector Hanumantha K Bhajantri,the police charged PC Mohan,Tejasvi Surya, Shobha Karandlaje and their 44 party workers charging them under section 143 (Unlawful assembly )188, ( disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant) 283 (obstructing public way ) and section 290 ( public nuisance ) on Tuesday.

Mr.Bhajantri,in his complaint said that the BJP leaders along with over 200 supporters staged a protest and blocked the road creating nuisance by using loud speaker and holding saffron flags shouting slogans , demanding the arrest of the accused in the attempt to murder case registered earlier at Siddanna lane .

The police who were on bandobast duty tried to convince the protesters that they are violating high court order against staging protest on road But in vain.

The accused had blocked the road for three hours causing inconvenience to the public and the motorists and also pose threat to law and order problem,he said .

Earlier on the day,the legal cell of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC),complained to state Chief Election Officer against Mr.Surya and others accusing them of staging protest to inciting religious sentiments communal hatred.
