Private firm employee files complaint against her female colleague for harrassing after he refused her proposal for marriage

A 33-year-old private firm employee filed a complaint with the Parappana Agrahara police accusing his female colleague of harassment and criminal intimidation after he refused her proposal for marriage .

The complainant,Pawan Upadhaya working in a private firm in Veerasandra was proposed by his female colleague.

Pawan turned down the proposal stating that he is not interested and advised her to marry a boy of her parents choice .

The female colleague continued to harass until Pawan was transferred to Mangaluru unit for few years and recently returned to the city in 2019.

The accused was harassing him through phone,but somehow he managed.

After returning back to city,the harassment continued and the accused got to know that Pawan was engaged .

She started calling his parents and the parents of his fiancee,threatening and abusing them that she would end her life and blame Pawan in her death note .

Pawan tried to file a complaint but after police refused he approached the court and filed a private complaint and got direction to register an FIR and investigate .

Based on the court direction,the police on Tuesday registered an FIR against the accused charging her under section 389 ( Putting a person in fear of accusation of an offence punishable with death),506 ( criminal intimidation ) and 417 ( impersonation ) and also under various section of the IT Act.
