Cyber crooks attempted to con two high court judges threatening them to foist cases in separate incidents.
Concerned over the attempts and the way the crooks intimidated,the two judges alerted the high court security officials who in turn complained to the Vidhana Soudha police seeking detailed investigation.
Based on the complaint the Vidhana Soudha police registered two FIRs against unknown charging them under criminal intimidation and cheating .
According to the complaint.The conman posing as staff of DOPT called justice Padeep Singh herur personal number on Saturday informed that he was sharing anti national messages from the SIM generated in his name.
The caller said that the departed has complained to Mumbai Andheri East police for circulating objectionable messages and transferred the call to his associate to settle the case .
The accused claimed to be a police officer who shouted and threatened him demanding money to drop the charges.
Angered by this justice Herur disconnected the call before alerting the high court security.
Similiar attempt was made with justice SG Pandit.The caller used a similar modus operandi threatening with misuse of SIM card to placing objection advertisement and threatened with criminal cases filed with Mumbai police.
Another caller who claim to be police officer threaten with cases and demanded money to settle the case.
The Vidhana Soudha police are now trying to track down the accused based on their call record details.
