BMTC bus conductor arrested and suspended for assaulting private firm employee over a trivial row over ticket issue

The Siddapura police have arrested a 35-year-old BMTC conductor on the charges of assaulting a 24-year-old private firm employee over a trivial row over ticket on Tuesday.

The accused Honnappa Nagappa Agasar attached to depot no-34 kothanurudinne is conductor with Bus no . 368 plying from Bilekahalli towards Shivajinagar .

The victim(identified as tanzula) aged 24 years from neighboring state and staying at SSN ladies pg she is working at land mark group max fashion at commercial street had an argument with Nagappa asked her to show the Aadhar card to issue free ticket.

Even after two stops the woman did not show the Aadhar card for which Nagappa demanded her to buy ticket .

Heated argument ensued between them following which the woman slapped the conductor .

Enraged Nagappa assaulted her following which she got down from the bus and filed a complaint with the police.

Based on the complaint,the police arrested Nagappa charging him under section 354 ( assaults or uses criminal force to any woman,intending to outrage her modesty) 323 ( assault ) 506 ( Criminal intimidation ) and 509 ( insult the modesty of any woman, utters any word,makes any sound or gesture,or exhibits any object) of IPC. The police arrested the conductor to question him for further investigation.
