Illegal Spas turned into human trafficking raided by BCP 118 women rescued and accused booked under SC ST for forcing them in flesh trade and Immoral activities

he city police have invoked SC ST atrocities act against the accused of the illegal spas raided by the police recently.

The victim in two of the recent cases rescued by the police belonging to backward and SC ST community, city police commissioner B.Dayananda,said.

These victims are lured in to the racket and cheated forcing them to do immoral activities, hence the SC ST atrocities Act has been pressed against them along with Immoral trafficking and human trafficking act,he said .

The city police cracked a whip on illegal spas mushroomed across the city and employed women therapist from different parts of the country and also women from neighboring countries offering forcing them into immoral activities .

The city police since January to March this year conducted series of raids,booked 21 cases and rescued 118 women.Apart from this as many as 39 people have been booked under various act.

Among the 21 raids, Whitefield Division has highest number of cases reported from Whitefield division with 5 cases registered,22 women rescued and 11 people involved in the racket were arrested .

The Whitefield division has most number of illegal spas which are under the radar of the police and the CCB.

It may be recalled that on January 9,the Women Protection Wing (WPW) of the CCB conducted the operation on January 6 at Nirvana International Spa in Mahadevapura’s Pai Layout,rescuing 40 women from Thailand,Delhi,and other regions.The spa owner,Anil, was booked for running the racket .

The police found that the accused had allegedly lured and forced women employees who were from various states and neighbouring countries,into prostitution.

He had also employed 20 to 25 people to manage his business,which included collecting payments from the clients majority of them are from IT industries .
