Rajajinagar police apprehends 2 women in connection with gold ornaments theft,targeting elderly women at fairs and processions recovered stolen property worth Rs.14.5 Lakhs

The Rajajinagar police have arrested two women and recovered 233 grams of gold valuables worth Rs.14.5 lakh from them.

The accused Jyothi,29 and her associate Asha,32 are habitual offenders from Tamilnadu who used to move around visit public and religious programs in temples and fairs .

They would then target senior citizen and steal their valuables .

Based on complaint received by a senior citizen who lost her gold necklace during shivaratri festival celebration at a temple in Rajajinagar,the police analyzed the CCTV footage before tracking down the duo.

One of the accused had arrested in similar offence.She was recently released on bail and ganged up with her associates to commit the offence,a senior officer, said .
