An Assistant sub Inspector of Police sustained injuries when a woman attacked him in a glass bottle after a heated argument at the station on Saturday.
The injured Nagaraj,who sustained cut injuries on his right hand was rushed to a hospital while the accused Ashwini has been detained and later shifted to NIMHANS for medical treatment.
The accused had visited the station over a property dispute and alleged that she is being denied justice, ASI Nagaraj who was at the station tried to pacify and heated argument ensued .
Meanwhile the accused pulled out a glass bottle and attacked Nagaraj in a fit of rage .
The police suspect that the woman was mentally disturbed and needed a detailed analysis from the expert, a senior officer said adding that the police are awaiting medical report from the NIMHANS to take further action.
