51-year-old man attempted to end life in front of the judge in High court hall on Wednesday.
The accused identified as Srinivas made a submission before the judge before pulling out a sharp object and slashed his throat.
Panic court staff rushed him to Bowring hospital where he is being treated at ICU.
The incident also exposed the lapse on part of the security as the accused despite multiple security checks managed to get the blade inside the court hall .
Based on the Judge directions the registrar General of the high court in charge had initiated a probe to ascertain lapses on part of the security personnel .
The Vidhana Soudha police have taken up a case and are investigating further .
