A tyre godown situated in gavipura in Chamarajpet was gutted due to accidental fire broke out at the godown in the wee hours of Sunday.
Since there was no one inside the godown and it was locked,no casualties have been reported.
The fire broke out at around 4.30 am and neighbours heard a cracker burst sound .
They came out to find the fire engulfed the godown. Since the godown had stored thousands of Tyres,tunes and plastic material it spread to rapidly and the entire godown was gutted.
Five fire tenders rushed to the spot and after five hours of struggle brought the fire under control.
The officials suspect electric short circuit could be the reason behind the accident, however the probe is on to ascertain the exact reason .
