46-year old man stabbed his female friend to death minutes before he was killed by the mother of the girl at Sarakki park in JP nagar on Thursday.
The deceased according to the police has been identified as Suresh,resident of Goraguntepalya and Anusha,25 resident of Shankanbarinagar in JP nagar.
Senior officer told reporters,Suresh was working in an event management company and Anusha was working.
The duo was known to each other for the last five years.Few days ago Anusha broke up with Suresh over some issue which irked him.
He was trying to patch up but Anusha refused on Thursday Suresh called Anusha for a chat following which he arrived at the park with her mother.
While the duo were talking, Anusha’s mother was around,Suresh pulled out a knife in the melee and stabbed Anusha to death.
Noticing this Anusha mother rushed to her daughter help and attacked Suresh with a Halloween Brick found at the park.Due to secure blow Suresh collapsed on the ground and died of excessive bleeding .
Passers by alerted the police who rushed to the spot shifted the victims to a nearby hospital before taking the woman into custody for questioning.
Residents were shocked by the double murder reported in the park which they visit regularly.
Police suspected that soured relationship was the motive behind the murder and further investigating to ascertain any other possible reason behind the crime.
