Bike rider killed and two other injured in road accident as rider fell into a pit dug by BWSSB

A 20 year old bike rider was killed and two other injured when a bike they were riding fell into a pit dug up by BWSSB on SMV road near Kommaghatta club on Sunday night.

The deceased have been identified as Saddam Hussain.

The injured Umraz Pasha,25 and Mubarak Pasha sustained multiple injuries admitted to hospital.

The trio was returning home after visiting friends when the incidents occurred.

The BWSSB had taken up cauvery pipe line work and dug up pit and even put up two barricades.

One was put up a few yards away from the pit as warning and other in front of the pit .

Inquiring revealed the Saddam Hussain crossed over the first barricades which was slightly open for pedestrians through fare and was riding rash and negligent manner .

He lost control while reaching the second barricade and crashed into it before Falling into the pit.

Few passers by noticed the accident alerted the police who rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to hospital where Saddam declared dead.

The Kengeri traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence against both Saddam and BWSSB engineer concerned for further investigation.
