In an effort to keep a tab on the anti social elements operating from prison,a team of CCB police on Tuesday raided central prison at Parappana Agrahara and seized cash ₹ 40,000 and three knives from the inmates .
The raids were carried to check on habitual offenders and rowdy sheeters operating from inside the prison in the wake of elections, a senior police officer , supervising the raid, said .
The raids is also to check contrabands and banned items such as drugs,and mobile phones to carry out their anti social activities and also to hatch conspiracies from inside the prison, he added.
