The Cyber crime police are on the lookout for a group of men who on the pretext of stock brokerage firm lured a 52-year-old businessman to invest his life term saving and made away with a total of ₹ 5 crore in the last one month.
The victim,Ashok Thirupallappa,resident of,Jayanagar 7th block,received a whatsapp message on his mobile phone and shared a link,with a details of purchasing shares with an offer to fetch a higher returns.
When Mr.Ashok started asking for details the accused offered to help him asked him to invest more money for quicker returns .
Trusting them he invested a total of ₹ 5.17,57,500 from different bank accounts in different dates between March 11 to April 2.
The fraud came to light when Mr.Ashok tried to withdrawn the returns he got which was showing online and found that it was locked .
He tried to reach Tejas Khodey,Gopal Kalavi Reddy and Kerolene crooks who claimed to be representing the ( Fyers Securities Pvt Ltd) investment firm which helped Ashok initally, but they were out of reach.
After repeated attempts to reach the Ashok checked with his friends and family members to realize that he had been duped and filed a complaint with the cyber crime police seeking help .
The police said that it is most common form of cyber cheating and advised people not to entertain ransom messages and involved in online shares and stock trading .
