Rowdy-Sheeter and his associates involved in four HBT cases arrested by Ramamurthynagar police recovered stolen property worth Rs.15 Lakhs

The Ramamurthynagar police on Tuesday arrested a rowdy sheeter and his associates involved in four house break thefts reported in eastern part of the city.

The police recovered valuables worth Rs.15 lakh from them.

The accused Srinivasa,a rowdy sheeter in Yeshwanthpur having over 20 criminal cases pending against him and his associate Venkatesh.

Based on a house break theft in Ramamurthynagar on March 23,the police found a chance finger print from the scene of crime which matched with the finger print of Venkatesh.

Senior officer told reporters,Venkatesh,also a habitual offender had visited Parappana Agarahara Prison a month ago to meet Srinivas and had submitted his bio matrix details during the process .

During this time,the accused had hatched a plan to carry out series of house breaks and Venkatesh was assigned to carry out reccee to identify the houses.

After Srinivas came out on bail a month ago, the duo executed the plan, a senior officer, said .

With their arrest the police solved four house break thefts reported in KR Puram and Ramamurthynagar.

City police commissioner B.Dayananda while appreciating a good piece of investigation, advised the people to take safety precautions while going out of station.

People should avoid using padlocks for the gates and not leave news paper outside which indicates that the house is locked.

They should alert the neighbours or even at the jurisdictional police stations which can help the patrolling police to pay extra attention while on rounds , he said .
