Swimming coach of private club turned Drug peddler arrested by Anti-Narcotics Wing of CCB and recovered 5.5 kgs of Marijuana Worth Rs.10 Lakh

The Anti-Narcotics Wing of the CCB on Tuesday arrested a 26-year-old swimming coach and recovered 5.5 kilos of Marijuana worth Rs.10 lakh from him.

The accused Rizwan Razaq,native of Kerala working as coach at a private club in Begur working in the city for the last 8 years.

Senior officer told reporters the accused in order to make a quick money sourced the drugs from local peddlers and selling it to his contacts.

Based on a tip off,a team of CCB officials raided his place and booked him under NDPS.

In another case,the CK Acchukattu police on Saturday arrested a Nigerian National and recovered 24 grams of Cocaine worth ₹ 1.75 lakh from him.

The accused was caught red handed while waiting for his contacts at Katriguppe play ground to deliver the goods .

Based on a tip off,a team of police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused .

The accused did not have any valid travel documents and suspected to be sourcing the drugs from his contacts from neighbouring state, a senior officer, said .
