BJP candidate K Sudhakar charged with bribery in Karnataka,Rs.4.8 crore cash confiscated by Flying Squad

The flying squad officials on thursday seized cash amounting to ₹ 4.8 crore from a house in Yelahanka, falling under Chikkaballapura constituency.

The officials booked a case against BJP candidate Dr K Sudhakar at madanayakanahalli police station limits.

According to the officials,a team of MCC Bengaluru Urban District Nodal Officer Munish Moudgil received a call about cash meant for distribution and misuse in elections kept in premises.

The caller also shared GPS location of Property where cash was alleged to be kept .

MCC Nodal officer alerted Income Tax Department for search and action as per ECI directions.

The property falls under Chikkaballapura PC and Yelahanka AC Segment.

Hence even DEO Chikkaballapura was informed for action.He was informed to inform Expenditure Observer also.

It falls under Bengaluru Urban District hence DEO Bengaluru district. But falls under Bengaluru Rural SP.FST also reached the spot.

As per ECI directions Income Tax Dept is doing search and preliminary cash about Rs.5 Crores is stated by IT Dept and is being counted.Matter is under investigation by IT Dept.

In parallel Model Code of Conduct and Electoral offences and violations is being evaluated as per details coming out in investigation and MCC Nodal and FST and Magistarte are on the spot.
