Extortion gang blackmailing Juvenile boys to get gold ornaments arrested by Rajarajeshwarinagar police and recovered valuables worth Rs.41.5 lakhs

The Rajarajeshwarinagar police have arrested a gang for extorting a 16-year-old high school student over ₹ 40 lakh blackmailing him with his online game addiction.

The boy,son of a city based builder staying with his parents studying in 10th standard and addicted to online gaming like dream 11 and other online gaming.

He was also browsing other objectional sites.Two of his classmates who are aware of this,decided to make money out of it.

City police commissioner B.Dayananda said that the accused started to blackmail the victim that they will inform his parents about his game addiction and demanded money.

The accused even shared the photos of goons with the victims threatened to harm him if he failed to pay the amount.

Scared by this the victim,stole 700 grams of gold valuables and cash total worth ₹ 41.5 lakh to the accused .

The valuables the boys had gave it to their contacts in Gangavathy town in Koppal to dispose .

The incident came to light on April 14,when the parents who had kept the valuables belonging to their daughters,checked to return to them.

The daughters were married and settled in UK and whitefield.They had kept the valuables at their parents house safe locker for safety.

When the parents shocked to find the valuables missing,they inquired with their son who initially feigned ignorance but later confessed.

Based on the complaint filed on April 15,the police track down the boy’s classmates and through them arrested four of the accused identified as M.Karthik kumar,32, Sunil Suryakanth,30,Veman Narendra,19,and Vivek Rajashekhar,19,from Gangavathy and recovered the valuables including cash ₹ 25 lakh .

Mr.Dayananda advised the people to be cautions about their children screen time and such type of addiction.

The juveniles were counselled and let off on station bail before recording their statement,while the rest of the accused charged under blackmail,extortion and other charges and remanded them to judicial custody.

He also announced a cash reward for the police team for good piece of investigation.
