A 45-year-old truck driver was crushed to death under the truck while replacing a deflated type near Suvavara gate in Anekal on Monday night .
The deceased Rohith,resident of Doddaguddi was driving a fertilizer laden truck and parked the truck on roadside to replace a deflated backside wheel of the truck.
While he was removing the tyre after placing the jack,a speeding bike rider failed to notice the parked truck and crashed into it.
As a result the jack slipped and Rohith crushed under the truck killing on the spot ,
The motorcycle rider identified as Manjunath also sustained severe injuries.Passers-by rushed the injured Manjunath to a near-by hospital before alerting the Anekal police.
The Anekal police rushed to the spot,removed the body and pulled away the truck to the roadside.The truck driver failed to put reflector and there was no light in the area which led to the accident .
In another accident,a 19-year-old driver was killed and his friend injured when the SUV they were travelling fell into the roadside drain near Nijagal village on Pune Bengaluru high way in Nelamangala on Monday night .
The deceased Sachin, native of Rajasthan was working in a private factory in Dabaspete had borrowed the SUV from his friend and went along with colleague.Balawanth Singh for a drive.
While driving in rash and negligent manner, he lost control and crashed into the drain , sustained severe injuries and killed on the spot.
Balawanth Singh sustained injuries and is being treated at the hospital, the police said .
