The Madanayakanahalli police on Monday arrested a 30-year-old vegetable vendor for sexually assaulting a eight-year-old at his house
According to the police,the victim along with her parents was living as tenant at the portion of his house since last one month.
The victim’s parents were working in a private firm and she was alone at home at the time of incident.
The accused barged into the house and sexually assaulted her and fled the scene leaving the girl bleeding.
The incident came to light when parents returned and shocked to see their daughter’s condition and took her to hospital before filing a complaint.
Based on the complaint,the police registered a case against him under POCSO and arrested and remanded him to judicial custody.
