Trio held by CCB’s EOW officials for making fake FMCG products under reputed companies and seized fake products worth Rs.95 Lakhs

The Economic Offence Wing of the Central Crime Branch officials raided a godown in Wilson garden and arrested three persons for making fake FMCG products under reputed company names .

Based on a tip off,a team of officials raided the godown and arrested the owner of the godown along with two of his associates and seized washing soaps and detergents tea powder and toilet cleaners worth ₹ 95 lakh .

The accused Shiv Patel,40,owner of the godown roped in Doulath Singh,32 who worked as distributor of the company which orignal manufacturers of the goods and Shubham Gupta,30, who was working in the fake factory as labourer.

The trio would prepare the fake products label them with reputed company brand names and sell it to their customers who are in and around the city .

The police also raided the factory and godowns at Avalahalli,Ramapura and Bidarahalli in the outskirts of the city where the accused used to manufacture and store huge quantities of products for supply.
