five-year-old boy was killed another injured in a freak accident while they were playing in front of their house in Murugeshpalya on Sunday morning.
The deceased Aarav playing outside the house with his neighbour while his family were busy in preparation of a family program.
Meanwhile the accused aged around 15 years and related to a policeman staying in the neighbouring house was cleaning the car outside his house.
Probe revealed that the accused had started the car and hit the accelerator .
As a result the car moved forward knocking down series of vehicles before crushing the boys.
While Aarav was crushed to death on the spot,another boy escaped with fractured leg.
Residents rushed to the help and shifted the boys to Manipal hospital where Aarav was declared as brought dead.
The accused soon after the accident ran into the house and locked himself until the JB Nagar traffic rushed to the spot and detained the boy for further investigations.
The Family of Aarav said that Aarav’s birthday was due next month.The car collided with another car and stopped .
The police have shifted the body for post mortem while FSL team had visited the accident spot to ascertain the exact reason behind the accident.
