KR Puram up-ramp of the Hebbal flyover to be closed for all types of vehicular movement says BTP

Movement of all types of vehicles on KR Puram up-ramp of the Hebbala flyover has been prohibited from Tuesday due to on going road infrastructure work taken up Bengaluru Development Authority has initiated road infrastructure works from Tuesday .

The work has been taken to add two new additional tracks to the Hebbala flyover and the traffic restriction will be in force until the completion of the flyover work .

According to the Traffic police,the decision was taken after two spans of the existing K R Puram ramp connecting to the main flyover need to be dismantled due to which the ramp would become disconnected from the main flyover.

Earlier the traffic police have restricted the movement of heavy vehicles on the same stretch from April 17.

The traffic police also made alternative routes for motorists commuting from KR Puram towards Hebbal :

Commuter from Nagavara (ORR) going towards the city via Mekri circle are requested to go to Hebbal circle below the flyover, take right turn towards Kodigehalli, and then taken U-turn to join the service road and further join the loop towards city.

Commuters coming from K R Puram side towards city are requested to use following alternative routes:

IOC-Mukunda theater road, Lingarajapura flyover route, Nagavara-Tannery road.

Commuters coming from Hegdenagar-Thanisandra may use GKVK- Jakkur road to enter city.

Commuters moving from K R Puram towards Yeshawanthapur can move straight below Hebbal flyover towards BEL circle,and take left turn at BEL Circle to reach Sadashivanagar Police Station junction and take right turn and move towards IISc and onwards to Yeshwanthapur.

Commuters travelling towards KIAL Airport from K R Puram,Hennuru, HRBR layout, Banasawadi,K G Halli and surrounding areas are requested to use the Hennuru-Bagaluru Road to reach the airport.Public are requested to co-operate.
