A 38-year-old security guard was killed and his friend injured when a speeding truck knock down their scooter they were riding in Hennur police station limits on Wednesday.
The deceased Kavi Sarki,native of Nepal, working in as private firm in Udupi had come to visit his friend who was unwell and admitted to the hospital .
After visiting him,Sarki along with his friend Bahadur sarki was taking a drop to bus stand.The duo was heading towards Majestic and crossing Vaddarapalya signal when a speeding truck knock them down.As a result Kavi riding pillion slipped and came under the moving wheels.
Bahadur who was also fell from the scooter escaped with minor injuries .
The Hennur traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the truck driver for further investigation.
