Two Notorious Mobile phone thieves arrested by Upparpet police and recovered 176 stolen phones worth Rs.22.4 lakhs

The Upparpet police on tuesday arrested two people from Ananthpur in Andhra Pradesh and recovered 176 mobile phones worth Rs. 22.4 lakh which they had stolen from people in and around Majestic for the past few months.

Based on series of mobile theft cases,a team of police kept a tab at Kempegowda bus stand and pinned down Naganuri Kumar and Parashuram.

The accused along with their associates used to come to city,stayed in a rented house in Bagaluru and pick mobile phones and valuables at the busy bus stand and railway station after diverting their attention.

With their arrest the Upparpet police have solved three mobile theft cases reported at the police station.
