The Banashankari police on Sunday arrested a 26-year-old habitual offender who had killed two people sleeping on footpath crushing their head with a boulder to rob their valuables.
Based on a murder case reported in Banashankari on May 12 the police have initiated investigation and track down the accused identified as Girish.
But by then he had killed one more person in a similar way in city market on May 18,
Senior officer told reporters,the accused who used to work as daily wage labourer at day time ganged up with his associates to rob valuables from people walking alone in night time .
The accused involved in four criminal cases was arrested in assault and robbery case and jailed for ten months before he was released in 2020.
Since then he was involved in stealing valuables from people sleeping in and around majestic using similar modus operandi the accused had killed the duo in separate incident when the victim attempted to resist the robbery.
