A 23-year-old software engineer was stabbed to death by his father over a domestic row at his residence in Jaraganahalli in Puttenahalli police station limits on Wednesday.
The deceased Identified as Yeshwanth working at a private IT firm in Sarjapura and living with his parents younger sister and bed ridden grandmother.
Senior officer told reporters the accused Basavaraju,a goods vehicle driver used to have frequent fights with wife over domestic row and the couple had heated argument on Wednesday morning.
In the melee Basavaraj picked up a kitchen knife and threatened his wife Bhagyalakshmi to stab.
Yeshwanth who was getting ready to the work , intervened and shouted at his father for creating nuisance everyday.
In a fit of rage,Basavaraj stabbed Yeshwanth on his chest and later rushed the profusely bleeding son to a near-by hospital where the doctor declared him as brought dead.
Based on the medico legal report,the Puttenahalli police rushed to the hospital arrested Basavaraj and later recovered the knife from home used to commit the offence .
Yeshwanth had younger sister who was pursuing her graduation.The Police are questioning Basavaraj to ascertain the exact reason behind the murder.
