elugu film actress Hema arrested by Central Crime Branch police under drug case has been granted conditional bail by special court for NDPS cases on Wednesday.
The accused was arrested on June 3 on the charges Consumption of narcotic drugs,Giving false name and phone number (as Krishnaveni) during raid,Prior knowledge about the drugs in the rave party and efforts to mislead investigation by making video statements.
The CCB officials had issued two notices to Hema asking her to appear before them for questioning, and arrested after she appeared in response to the third notice .
The CCB officials subjected her to medical examination to ascertain whether she had consumed drugs, producing her before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
The advocate representing Hema submitted that the CCB did not recover any drugs from Hema and the medical test .
The court asked Hema to cooperate with the investigation and not to tamper with evidence and not to leave the country without permission.
