In a crack down against the rowdy elements the city police based on the direction of the city police commissioner arrested two people under goonda Act while another who was on the run was track down on Thursday .
The Basaveshwaranagar police have invoked the stringent Goonda Act against 59-year-old Rowdy-Sheeter AR Ashok Kumar Adiga,59,for being repeat offender and involved in criminal activities unabated .
According to the officials Adiga in the last two years involved in seven criminal cases that includes running gambling racket,cheating and running illegal money lending business for high rate of interest .
Unable to control his criminal activites which are posing threat to the law and order and members of general public a report was submitted to the city police commissioner,B.Dayananda to get his accord to arrest Adiga under Goonda act.
As per the rules arrest under goonda act serve one-year imprisonment without bail.
In another incident,the Kodigehalli police arrested Manoj Kumar R Manu,26 who is involved in 12 criminal cases.
Despite this the accused continue to involve in criminal activities and creating nuisance and disturbing public order .
Based on the report,the CCB officials track down the accused and arrested him under goonda act.
In another incident,The Kempegowdanagar police have arrested a rowdy who was on the run for the last one year.
The accused according to the police involved in 23 criminal cases and a non bailable warrant pending against him.
Based on the report,the police track down the accused on MG road on Thursday.
The accused was involved in double murder cases reported in Subramanayapura police limits.The police had taken him to custody for further investigation.
