midst Kamakshipalya police taken Darshan’s close aide and fans club president from Chitradurga identified as Raghavendra to Challekere gate for spot Inspection on Thursday night,two associates of Raghavendra who were part of gang ferried the victim Renukaswamy to Bengaluru,surrendered before the Chitradurga police .
The duo identified as Jagadisha ad Anukumar are auto drivers who accompanied car driver Ravi and Raghavendra to get Renukaswany to Bengaluru as per the task assigned to them.
The accused handed over Renukaswamy and waited for the payment and later came to know that he was dead.
The police are now taken the duo into custody and recording their statement to ascertain each of their role in the case .
The accused came out of the shed and asked them whether they would take the blame in exchange of the money following which the Anukumar Jagadisha and Ravi refused and returned to Chitradurga with the vehicle fare .
The accused soon escaped after the news of Darshan and his associates arrested and on Thursday Ravi who was scared and on the run surrendered before the police followed by Anu Kumar and Jagadisha.
Meanwhile the police continue to grill the accused to get details of the case.
The police meanwhile recovered Rs.30 lakh from the house of Pradosh who had kept it ready to pat the Raghavendra and his associates who surrendered before the police .
The police have gathered 21 statements and evidence to corroborate the crime .
This according to the police,will be clinching against Pavithra Gowda and Darshan who are prime accused in the case .
Advocates fie RTI seeking CCTV details of AP Nagar station :
A Day after AP Nagar police put up Pendal around the station to block media and public view, a group of city based advocates sought details of CCTV footage of the station .
Ms.Sudha Katwa and Umapathi,advocates along with T.Narasimha Murthy,city based social activist in their three separate application cited reports in the media on alleged special treatment provided by the Annapoorneshwarinagar police station staff for the murder accused .
The application further stated that the restriction imposed by the police under prohibitory orders seeking details of CCTV footages from the date of arrest till date .
The measures taken by the police had caused inconvenience to the members of the general public .
It may be recalled that the police apart from imposing five days prohibitory orders around 200 meter radius of the station, the police put up pandal and even barricaded the area to divert the traffic thoroughfare in front of the station.
The opposition BJP party alleged that the Shamiyana is to provide special treatment to Darshan who according to the opposition leaders had helped the ruling party during the recent election campaign.
