Private Money lenders booked for allegedly cheating and threatening noted Kannada film producer for extorting crores of rupees

The Central crime Branch officials have registered an FIR against private money lenders under various sections of money lenders Act for allegedly cheating and threatening noted Kannada film producer for extorting crores of rupees from him through exhobirant interest .

The case was registered based on the complaint filed by,Kishore Kumar,Deputy Register of Co-Operative Society following the complaint filed by Puskar M.

Pushkar M,who had produced kannada movies like Godi Banna Sadharana Maikattu,Kirik Party,Huble politician Nagaraj among many other movies which won state and national awards suffered financial loss during covid and sought help from his relative Adarsh DB.

According to the complaint Adarsha promised to get him personal loan for 5 per cent of monthly interest.

Since he was in dire need of money Pushkar borrowed Rs.5 crore from 2019 to 2023 and repaid Rs.9.6 crore through banks in different dates so far along with a cash Rs.1.9 crore to Adarsh and his associates .

The accused according to the complaint started demanding 13 crore more claiming to be the interest amount and threatened him with dire consequences .

The accused even sent recovery agents to his house and office to threaten and intimidate him .

Unable to bear harassment Pushkar found that the accused were running the money lending business illegally and approached the registrar of co-operative society with a complaint.
