Ladakh: An accident occurred during military exercises in Ladakh. Five jawans died in this incident.

Ladakh: A tragic incident took place on the border of China. Flash Floods occurred while the Indian Army was conducting maneuvers in the Nyoma-Chushul area near the Line of Actual Control in the Union Territory of Ladakh . Five jawans lost their lives in this incident.

The accident took place in the early hours of Saturday in the Bodhi River, 148 km from Leh. The floods occurred while tanks were crossing the river as part of an Army Exercise. Due to this, the water level in the river increased and the T-72 tank sank. Five jawans were washed away in the river. The alert army immediately took rescue measures. Winded in the river for the jawans. However, unfortunately all of them lost their lives in this accident, the officials of the defense department revealed. He said that five bodies have been identified. A junior commissioned officer was also among the dead.

Rajnath is shocked..

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed shock over the accident. “It is sad that five jawans lost their lives in an unfortunate incident while crossing the river with a tank. We will never forget the immense service of our soldiers for the country. Deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. The whole country stands by them in this difficult time,” he posted on X
