Tirath Singh Rawat received the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award in Dubai

Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former MP Tirath Singh Rawat has been honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award at a program organized in Dubai. This prestigious award was presented to him jointly by Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa and Dubai King Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Maktoum.

Tirath Singh Rawat became the first Education Minister of Uttarakhand when the state was formed. Known for his simple nature and as a leader of the common people, Tirath Singh was elected as an MP from the Garhwal seat in 2019 with record-breaking votes and also served as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He implemented numerous historic initiatives for public welfare and policy reforms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he tirelessly visited every village in his constituency, including the remote hilly areas, to meet people and provide them with essential facilities.

Thousands of people from Dubai attended the event to witness this historic moment. The Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award ceremony also featured several prominent Indian celebrities, including Jackie Shroff, Chetan Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Sunil Grover, Meenakshi, Manraj Chopra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Farah Khan, Nagma Khan, Kalyan Jana, Fox’s Manish Katnavade, Rakhi Sawant, Dr. Neelam Pahariya, Tahil Khan, Sangeeta Bijlani, and others. Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera also made an appearance with his son.

Bigg Boss 17 contestant Isha Malvika was awarded the Best Icon Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her outstanding performance in her TV show, earning her the title of Best Actress. Ruksina received the Best Creative Director Award, while Ali Zafar and Shah Rukh Khan were honored with the Best Film Award. Neil Bhatt won the Best Actor Award, and Madhurima Tuli was also recognized for her contributions.

This award ceremony is organized annually by an NGO named after Dadasaheb Phalke to recognize individuals who have excelled in various fields. This year’s event was held at Hotel Bristol near Al Mukarrabat in Diyara, Dubai.
