No one from Congress have contacted them but it is clear that there is internal discord within the ruling party, said former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday,he said the Congress members have openly expressed their opinions about the CM and Deputy CM.Politics follows certain procedures.
The former CM declined to comment on statements made by the pontiffs. However, decisions on who should continue as the Chief Minister or whether to appoint three or four Deputy CMs are left to the Congress.
“Let’s wait and see how many they appoint as Deputy CMs.I will not comment on their internal matters.
Congress has introduced new definitions regarding the Deputy CM issue.Real politics is different.Let’s wait and see,”he said.
Bommai said he had not noticed the removal of the term “Veerashaiva” from the textbooks.”They are saying it has been removed from the 9th standard textbooks, but I haven’t noticed it.If that has happened,I urge the state government to rectify it”.
Asked about former minister Murugesh Nirani coming to the Haveri Assembly constituency, Bommai responded, “I haven’t discussed it with him, and he hasn’t discussed it with me.”
