A six-year-old girl was found dead at a parking lot of the Sangolli Rayanna railway station on Wednesday.
The deceased identity which is yet to be ascertained was found dead by passers-by at around 7 am .
The body was wrapped in a cloth and face of the girl was eaten by rodents, a senior police officer,said, adding that there were no weapon injuries on the body.
The police are now trying to track down the parents of the victim while the body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
The police are also gathered CCTV footage from in and around the area for analysis while taking up a case of murder for further investigation.
