He explained that Andhra Pradesh has suffered badly due to the failure of the previous government to work with a long-term plan for the development of the state. He said that development has come to a standstill due to unproductive expenditure, exploitation of natural resources for personal gain and stunting of human resource development. It was brought to the notice of the Prime Minister that the revenues are falling and the debts are skyrocketing. He said that the previous government had neglected the Polavaram project, other water resources, roads and capital structures and the state had suffered a lot. He expressed concern that salaries, pensions and debt payments have increased more than the state’s income, due to which the government has run out of financial resources for capital expenditure.

He said that the state government had indiscriminately taken loans by mortgaging the future income on liquor and diverted public funds in a big way. As a result, there is currently no financial resources to meet public needs. The Prime Minister pointed out that it will be difficult to get out of these challenges if the central government does not give financial support.

We will rise strongly under Modi’s leadership

Chandrababu discussed with the Prime Minister about the steps to be taken to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh. The manner of this meeting was shared on the social media ‘X’. A constructive meeting was held with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issues related to the development and welfare of Andhra Pradesh.
