London: The Conservative Party has been defeated in the British Parliament elections. With this, the leader of that party, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of Indian descent accepted defeat. He said that he is responsible for this defeat.

“The Labor Party has won this general election. On this occasion, I congratulate the leader of that party, Keir Starmer. Power changes hands peacefully. It gives everyone confidence in the future and stability of our country,” said Sunak. After the results, he addressed party supporters in his home constituency of Richmond and Northern Allerton. Asking them to forgive them on this occasion, they announced that they are responsible for the defeat. Meanwhile, Sunak won another term as MP.

Elections were held in 650 seats across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It has to win 326 seats for power. According to the details received so far, the Labor Party has crossed the majority mark. The party, which is moving towards a huge victory, is moving towards the 400 mark. The Conservative Party crossed 80 seats.

The Conservative Party has been in power in Britain for the past 14 years. Rishi Sunak was elected as the Prime Minister two years ago and created history as the first person of Indian origin to hold this post. However, his popularity has been declining in recent times.
