21-year-old nursing student ended her life at the hostel in Jalahalli on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Diya Mondal, from West Bengal was pursuing the course at Mother Theresa nursing college and staying in the hostel.
Probe revealed that she was depressed over family problem and used to discuss with her room mates.
On Saturday her roommates found her hanging and alerted the police.
The Jalahalli police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to post mortem before alerting her parents.
The police have registered a case of un natural death and are investigating to ascertain the cause of her extreme step
