The cubbon park Police booked FIR against three bars and restaurants including one 8 commune restaurant co-owned by Indian cricket star Virat Kohli .
Based on a tip off,a team of police led by Ashok Thakur,PSI,raided the one 8 pub situated at the toniq building on queens circle at around 2 am on Saturday and found it fully operational.
The manager of the pub has been booked under Karnataka police act.
Similar search operation was also conducted and found two more restaurants including the empire and panzio bar on church Street and brigade road have also been booked for violating stipulated time.
On the night of July 6, personnel attached to the Cubbon Park station police conducted a special drive against restaurants, bars and pubs which are operating beyond the rules set by the Karnataka government, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shekhar HT, Bengaluru Central Division said that cases have been registered on the ground that the restaurant was violating the time limits and allowing the customers.
A case has been registered against not only One 8 Commune but also some other restaurants and pubs of the central division, which were open beyond the time limit he added.
