n a effort to enhance transparency using technology, the city police on Saturday launched real time tracking system of Hoysala vehicles for the people in distress .

City police Commissioner,B.Dayananda, said that the real-time tracking system Hoysala vehicles, helps the people who call 112 to track the arrival time of Hoysala vehicles through a SMS link sent by the receiver at the command centre .

The staff at the hoysala centre as soon as receiving the call locate the nearest Hoysala and shar the details and location of the complaint.

Meanwhile the caller would also get details of the complaint along with the link on their message box which enables to them to track down the Hoysala similar to cab service tracking facility.

The caller can also interact with the Hoysala team in case of any clarification,he added .

Hoysala patrolling service response time has been fixed to seven to eight minutes which will be monitored at the command centre and provide necessary assistant as back up .

Similarly the safe connect project launched under safe city project to facilitates seamless audio-video communication between the people at distress and the command centre facilitates two ways seamless audio-video communication.

The initial 50 ‘Safety Island’ devices put up across the city to help those in distress to press the panic button to connect to the command centre staff, has now been extended to mobile phones too.

As per the upgraded version of safe connect, people can download safe connect App from KSP website to avail the service.

Dial press button in case of any eventuality will help two way communication with the command staff with the additional facility like live tracking location, and quick response.

The safe connect project launched under Nirbhaya safe city project to reach people in distress is probably the first time in the country,Mr.Dayananda,said.
